I did watch few videos, I like one the most especially you only want to replace the garage opener. I really going to measure my old garage opener and see i can find the exact measurements with the new. That way i won't need to replace the tracks. Shop around home depot and Lowe's tonight. Once i found the one with eact measurament, check online if i can find cheaper.

Good to know i can use my rail track or use an extension in case it doesn't reach to the door.

Those things rarely come out that easy. Sometimes you need to buy the cartridge puller. Fairly expensive for a one time use. Make sure it works with the model you’re pulling.

Agreed with other comments, this leaves out so many possibilities of what you will encounter. In my case I was not expecting the ends of the threshold to be screwed to the bottom of the door jamb, and so I ripped apart one side of the door jamb after cutting the threshold in half per instructions, then cutting through the caulk underneath, and trying to pull it out. At least on the other side I was able to cut through the screws with an oscillating tool (a key tool for cutting the threshold in half, detaching the caulk and more).

Even the fucking home depot has a tutorial for removing those nasty splinters

If I'm replacing bathroom fixtures (spout, handle, shower head etc), will the leak be corrected or do I still need to replace the cartridge?

Good content and good advice. With regard to the single handle shower valve, I suggest removing the cartridge from valve body to prevent heat damage to the cartridge when you solder the connections. When you re-install the cartridge, sparingly apply silicone plumbing lubricant to it to make it easier to insert in the valve body. Keeping the cartridge in a plastic bag will prevent it from being contaminated by construction debris.

What about the bottom? The board would stick out over the trim I’m pretty sure, but I guess you could put another piece behind it later on to make it flush. Normally you remove the bottom trim and add another board to make it flush then put the trim back
